Sal Gambino will probably go into hospice after his birthday, Dec. 1, with the help of Sue Gaines.
Lee & I went out to visit with them Monday and I took his favorite -  Coconut Cream Pie, but his was a sugar free coconut cream pie.  He had his priest there, giving him the last rites.

Barbara Cotten talked to Patty Gambino Tuesday who said that Sal is not doing well. His pancreas is not working and that some of the muscles in his esophagus are collapsing so he is unable to eat much, if he can eat at all. He is now down to 123 lbs.

Patty said he is in pain and has decided to go into Hospice but wants to wait until after his birthday which is December 1st.

Patty has fallen several times this year resulting in fracturing her left knee and re-injuring her right rotator cuff. She will need a knee and shoulder replacement. The doctor told her that medically she is fine however her bones and joints are not.

Sal would love to hear from old friends and partners. His phone number is 281-355-8118
Please keep Sal and Patty in your prayers.

Sal & Patty,
Both Pam & I are thinking about you both and sending you our thoughts and prayers. I am sorry we have not been in touch for a long time, but I am glad we finally were able to find a link to you. God indeed works in funny ways.
A belated Happy Birthday wish to Sal, and hopes that Patty will heal quickly.
To a wonderful friend, a wonderful patriot, and a wonderful human being, the very best of the best, we send loving wishes and prayers for you both.
Lots of love to you both, always.
Pam & Phil Finnerman
from Carmel, Ca.
