The family of our member, Veteran Sal Gambino, is seeking your prayers and support during this period while he is under hospice care. Wife Patty says he was awake all night, acting very agitated and anxious and trying to get out of bed.

Sal didn't want to take his meds and she had to call hospice twice.  The hospice nurse went to their home and after the nurse and doctor conversed Sal's medicines were increased.  They referred to it as a 'cocktail', intended to keep him heavily sedated.

Patty says Sal did not even recognize his nurse.  The nurse said it was not unusual for him to not recognize people he knows, even Patty.
According to Patty, the nurse said Sal may have only 1-48 hours to survive.  She will keep us updated.

The Houston Police Department's service officer is on call to help Patty with services which will be at the American Heritage Funeral Home and the Veterans Memorial Cemetery. As you all know Sal is a retired Houston Police Officer.

Please be in prayer for our brother Sal Gambino on his trip through life.
